Sour Cream Apple Pie

Filling

  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Add sour cream, egg and vanilla.
  3. Beat until smooth. Add apples and mix well.
  4. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.
  5. Bake in 400 to 425 degree oven for 15 minutes
  6. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degree oven and bake for additional 30 minutes.

Topping

  1. Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  2. Sprinkle over pie and return to oven.
  3. Bake at 400 -0425 degrees for 10 minutes.

Variation: Rhubarb or peaches may be used. More sugar is neccesary for rhubarb.
