Sour Cream Apple Pie

- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/8 tbsp salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 2 cups finely chopped apples
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Add sour cream, egg and vanilla.
- Beat until smooth. Add apples and mix well.
- Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.
- Bake in 400 to 425 degree oven for 15 minutes
- Reduce oven temperature to 350 degree oven and bake for additional 30 minutes.
Topping
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Sprinkle over pie and return to oven.
- Bake at 400 -0425 degrees for 10 minutes.
Variation: Rhubarb or peaches may be used. More sugar is neccesary for rhubarb.
