French Toast

- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- bread, preferably challah
- Let a medium skillet come up to medium-high temperature.
- Whisk an egg in a shallow plate.
- Continue to whisk in the butter, milk, and vanilla.
- Continue to whisk in sugar, flour, and salt until smooth.
- Soak the bread about 35 seconds per side in the mixture.
- Melt additional butter in the skillet.
- Transfer the bread to the skillet and cook for about 90 seconds per side, or until golden brown.
