Shrimp Fra Diavolo

  1. Toss the shrimp with 1 teaspoon of salt and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat oil in a heavy large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Saute the shrimp until just cooked through.
  4. Transfer shrimp from the skillet.
  5. Add the onion to the same skillet, adding olive oil(if needed) and saute until translucent.
  6. Add the tomatoes with their juices, wine, garlic, and oregano.
  7. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  8. Add shrimp back into the tomato mixture.
  9. Stir in the parsley and basil.
